Mandy Meijer
Postdoctoral Fellow
Department of Medical Genetics
Faculty of Medicine
Mandy Meijer obtained both her BSc and MSc degree in Biomedical Sciences with a focus on genetics and neuroscience at the Leiden University Medical Center (Leiden, The Netherlands). She received her PhD at the Radboud University and the Donders Institute of Medical Neuroscience (Nijmegen, The Netherlands) under supervision of Dr. Barbara Franke, Dr. Marieke Klein, and Dr. Carmen Sandi (Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne Lausanne, Switzerland). The work performed in her PhD thesis focusses on epigenetics in externalizing behaviour. As a postdoctoral fellow in the Kobor lab, her research tries to understand how epigenetics could help in explaining biological mechanisms of neurodevelopment and behaviours, and how both the environment and genetics play a role in this.
