Dr. Emily Jenkins (School of Nursing) and Dr. Crystal Karakochuk (Department of Food, Nutrition and Health) were announced as Scholar Award recipients from the Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research (MSFHR), designed to help support early career researchers.

The title of Dr. Jenkins' project is "Promoting mental health and addressing substance use in Canadian youth through collaborative research and intervention."

Dr. Karakochuk's project is titled "Advancing nutritional hematology to reduce the burden of anemia and inform nutrition policy."
